Two Factor Authentication Should Be Adopted By All Websites And Companies For The Safety Of Confidential Data
Imagine the amount of financial loss a large organization could suffer just because of the fact that one of the employees working in the company compromised the security of the company and opened the company’s firewall to external users. The internet is a place where millions of internet users share their personal details with one another in the belief that what they share will not be used for the wrong purposes. But no one can guarantee you that all the details which you share in the internet will remain secure unless the website offers two factor authentication which is the latest form of authentication that has been adopted by websites and companies. This form of authentication is no just applicable to the websites in the internet, but it can also be used by employees of very large organizations where protecting the data is one of the top most priorities of the employees. Gone are the days when the internet user had to be just content with a single layer of password security. A single layer of password security had a very large loophole in it and this became evident that it was easy to trace a person’s password simply by using a key stroke logger. But that is not the case with the saml sso. Even if the hacker was to trace your password with the help of a key stroke logger, it would be practically impossible for him to find out your other mode of authentication unless you actually told him about it. So by using single sign on, you are definitely sending out a very strong message to the hacking community that it is not as easy as it was back in old days to crack password and steal people’s personal data. All internet users should be encouraged to use this form of authentication for their own good.
